Dustless Blasting has proven ideal for the removal of paint or epoxy from aluminum vessels. Since aluminum is relatively soft compared to steel, traditional dry sand blasting can leave the metal too rough. The resulting overly aggressive profile must then be filled with extra layers of paint or epoxy. The water used in the Dustless process adds energy and increases productivity, while also producing a more ideal profile.
Because the water reduces friction and cools the metal, the risk of warping is removed, even for thinner areas of aluminum such as the wheelhouse.
Dustless Blasting solves environmental issues by trapping the abrasive and pulverized coating in water and grounding it. Rather than going into the air and floating who knows where, these blasting byproducts stay in one place where you can dispose of them properly.
